Movie Review: Hoodwinked
I have not laughed this hard since I had my impacted wisdom teeth removed without anesthesia.
Hoodwinked is a perfect example of a great concept poorly realized. In fact, the movie looks so bad that the only character that seemed to move "naturally" was the wolf's assistant; a hyperactive squirrel. It would be worthwhile to take your blind friend or relative to "see" it since the story and dialog are passable, and the voice over actors (Anne Hathaway and specially Patrick Warburton) do a decent enough job.
The CGI in this crap are amateurish at best, I've seen better machinima and cut-scenes in the old Sierra games.
The premise of the movie is a re-telling of Little Red Riding Hood from the perspective of all involved; The Wolfe, Grandma, The Woodsman and "Red." The versions of the story as told by each character, tie very nicely and leave no loose ends. The dialog between the characters is actually good. If the movie looked half as good as it was written, it could be actually as good as Shrek or any of the non-Pixar CGI features. This is how bad it looks... Jay Jay The Jet Plane is sophisticated in comparison.

I was introduced to Bebe's music by my sister after she watched her win 5 Latin Grammys this year (that's each and every grammy she was nominated for.) She went out and bought her CD "Pa'Fuera Telarañas" (Cobwebs be-gone!)
The short version of this post is that I am in gaga in love with Bebe's music.
Bebe's voice is a mixture of childish innocense and brainy sexpot. Her use of diminutives emote a tenderness that I have never felt from any other artist. Her lyrics and melodies are a delicious blend of passion, ska, rock, flamenco and girl power. You must listen to this chick, even if you don't speak spanish, I guarantee you will fall in love with Bebe.

It must be annoying to be reminded of how you were a C student before you became president, or or ... how you never went to Vietnam like most kids your age did, or how you had a cocaine habit, or how you got arrested for DUI at least once, or, or nominating a cronnie to the supreme court... or giving kudos to another cronnie after the worst hurricane to hit the gulf coast in years was mishandled by said cronie... or how you are annoyed that someone told on your "presidential prerrogative" to wiretap americans, but not outraged enough whe a member of your staff outed an undercover CIA agent...or how easy it is to come up with something wrong you did without thinking much about it.... I got more but my keyboard is starting to overheat.

For the first time in its history BBC News is opening its archives to the UK public for a trial period. You can download nearly 80 news reports covering iconic events of the past 50 years including the fall of the Berlin Wall, crowds ejecting soldiers from Beijing's Tiananmen Square and behind-the-scenes footage of the England team prior to their victory over West Germany in 1966.
You are welcome to download the clips, watch them, and use them to create something unique. This is a pilot and we want to understand your creative needs. We'd like to see your productions and showcase some of the most interesting ones we receive.
